Everest Textile Donates Blood Pressure Monitor
Establishes “Health Check Station” to Support Community Well-Being
Location: Xuezi Grocery Store, Shanshang District, Tainan
Everest Textile continues to integrate ESG into its business strategy and strengthen its positive impact on society. To support local health promotion, the company has donated a blood pressure monitor to Xuezi Grocery Store in Shanshang District, setting up a “Health Check Station” that allows residents to easily monitor their blood pressure during daily shopping. This initiative encourages regular self-check habits, reduces chronic disease risks, and demonstrates Everest’s commitment to community care and sustainable development. The new health station is conveniently located in a high-traffic community area, helping residents take early preventive action and improve health awareness.
Everest has set clear goals for the first year, including serving more than 300 blood pressure checks and raising health monitoring awareness by over 30% within six months. The company aims to expand similar stations and build a more complete community health network, strengthening residents’ self-management capability and reducing medical resource usage.
Led by the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability teams, this initiative supports ESG performance and aligns with the UN SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, while enhancing community relations and internal recognition for sustainability efforts.
“Corporate sustainability is not only about environmental responsibility but also about people’s well-being,” said Lin Huang-Shan, Vice President of Sustainability at Everest Textile. “By establishing this Health Check Station, we hope to protect the health of our community and continue building a safer and more sustainable living environment.”
