FEIB unveils its 2025 calendar inviting customers to embark on a journey of sustainability
Far Eastern International Bank (FEIB) has launched its 2025 calendar, "Sustainable Tourism in Taiwan: Let’s Go!". Building on previous themes such as roads, mountain houses, and bicycle trails, the calendar continues to inspire customers to explore Taiwan's natural beauty. FEIB President Thomas Chou emphasized that as global efforts intensify to address climate risks, the theme of sustainable tourism reflects a commitment to partnering with the people of Taiwan on a journey toward sustainability and low-carbon living, ushering in a prosperous and eco-friendly new year.

The FEIB 2025 calendar highlights 12 local attractions recognized for sustainable tourism awards or included in Taiwan's national park sustainable governance system. The calendar showcases these sites' efforts in achieving balanced development through ecological conservation, cultural preservation, and local economic growth. Featured attractions include the Tamlan Ancient Trail, restored using traditional hand-crafted methods; Ala Bao Bay and Guishan Island, which implement strict visitor limits and volume controls; and Haomei township in Chiayi, where discarded oyster racks and sesbania poles were used to construct sand fences, successfully restoring the coastline. Other examples include Sun Moon Lake, which has developed eco-friendly, low-carbon transportation networks, and Bitoujiao Coffee House, which creatively repurposed abandoned military camps.
In the digital age, FEIB continues to issue wall calendars annually, catering to the needs of stores, businesses, senior citizens, and paper enthusiasts. At the launch of the "Sustainable Tourism in Taiwan: Let’s Go!", FEIB featured three employees from different generations and departments as spokespersons. United by their love for exploring domestic attractions with family and friends, they shared their personal experiences and the joy of embracing sustainable tourism.
The FEIB calendar not only raises awareness about the sustainable management of tourist attractions but also includes a monthly feature titled "ESG Easy Tasks for Travelers." This section highlights 12 actionable steps for travelers, such as supporting local services, hiring local tour guides, and participating in locally run experiential tours to create employment opportunities for residents. Traveling during non-peak seasons is another recommendation, offering higher value experiences while reducing the strain of peak-season crowds on attractions, traffic, and surrounding areas, and contributing to stable local economic income. Through this calendar, FEIB leverages its platform to share knowledge on sustainability trends and aims to collaborate with customers to fulfill its commitment to the global sustainability vision.
