Thousands of People Competed for the Championship in the 5th Fucheng Run Up Competition. Champions of All Groups were From Taiwan

Fucheng Run Up Competition is the only regular annual vertical competition in South Taiwan has entered its fifth session this year. Nearly 1,200 domestic and foreign athletes gathered at Far Eastern Plaza Hotel (FEPH), Tainan on May 26 to challenge Tainan's tallest building. President of the Hotel, Ross Miles-Cadman, invited Mayor of Tainan, Huang Weizhe, President of FENC, Humphrey Cheng, Director of Tourism Bureau of Tainan Government, Chen Xinan, Director of News and International Relations Department, Liu Yiling ,General Manager of LUXGEN Automobile Co., Ltd., Ma Zhongrong, Director of Taiwan Fund for Children and Families in Northern Tainan, Zhuang Shuhui, Store manager of Far Eastern Department Store Tainan Store, Xu Junming, and senior vice president of HappyGo Customer Business Division Li Mingcheng, to jointly launch the competition.

This year's competition was still fierce, with individual men's group Jiang Liyao winning the championship in 4 minutes and 25 seconds, and individual women's group Yang Qiaozhu in 5 minutes and 37 seconds. The Tainan Government Fire Bureau, which just completed this year's Taipei 101 International Run Up Competition, once again was brilliantly won the team championship in an average of 4 minutes and 09 seconds. The family group was led by father Xie He-long and two children, carried the champion home in 6 minutes and 54 seconds.

In addition to domestic competitors, there are also participants from14 countries, such as United States, France, South Africa, Italy, Panama and other countries to compete for the champion of the tallest building of Tainan. All the competitors started from the B2 Floor and climbed 897 steps, that is 40 stories to the finish line, and took their victory photos with the entire Taiwan as the background for a good memory at the end of the race. At the event site, Tainan tourism mascot Sababoy and HAPPYGO mascot Dian Dian were there to join the crowd. Many people also took part in the competition with creative costume play. Among them, Miss Lin Huiping's "Hua Yan Wu Dao" a goddess warrior of the Glove puppetry won unanimous praise and won the "Best Style Award" this year.


The top 3 cosplay style this year was Hua Yan Wu Dao from Pili Glove puppetry, Robin from Batman and Keroro

This competition was sponsored by Far Eastern Group and FEPH, Tainan, and co-sponsored by National Cheng Kung University and National Cheng Kung University Hospital. Since 2015, the net income and donation after the expenses of the activity has accumulated more than NT$1.58 million and has been donated to the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families. The contribution is expected to reach 2million in accumulation this year.
