YTRM Launches "LoopCon" Low-Carbon Brand and Establishes Alliance to Drive Net-Zero Construction
In response to global net-zero emissions targets and the growing trend of sustainable architecture, Ya Tung Ready Mixed Concrete Co., Ltd. (YTRM) hosted the "2026 Ya Tung Low-Carbon Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance Convention" in Taipei on June 17. During the convention, YTRM also unveiled its new low-carbon concrete brand, "LoopCon," underscoring its commitment to driving net-zero transition and building material innovation across its supply chain.
Uniting Supply Chain Partners to Build a Traceable Low-Carbon Material System
Themed "Building Net-Zero Architecture Together through a Sustainable Supply Chain," the convention gathered industry leaders representing cement, slag, fly ash, aggregates, chemical admixtures, transportation logistics, and construction engineering. Witnessed by Tsui Mao-Sen, Chairman of the Taiwan Architecture Center (TABC) and President of the National Association of Architects, ROC, the launch of the alliance marked a significant milestone toward low-carbon industry transformation. The event also featured the presentation of the "Sustainable Supply Chain Award" and "Premium Customer Sustainability Partner Award" to honor long-term partners supporting YTRM's green transition.
Gin Chung-Ren, YTRM President, stated that net-zero transformation cannot be achieved by a single enterprise alone, but requires the active participation of the entire industrial chain. Over the years, with the support of Asia Cement Corporation and supply chain partners, YTRM has invested in quality enhancement, supply stability, and low-carbon technological innovation. These efforts have helped downstream construction projects achieve Level 1 or Level 1+ Embodied Carbon Building Certifications. The establishment of this alliance aims to further integrate upstream and downstream resources, establishing a traceable and verifiable low-carbon supply chain ecosystem.
Unveiling "LoopCon": Setting a New Standard for Low-Carbon Concrete
On the technological front, YTRM recently secured patents for "Construction Material Carbon Sink Testing Methods and Equipment" and "Carbon Mineralization Methods Using Fresh Concrete Waste." The company has successfully developed low-carbon concrete products meeting Grade A standards of the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), achieving up to a 70% reduction in carbon emissions compared to traditional concrete. Furthermore, following its implementation of Canada’s CarbonCure concrete manufacturing technology, YTRM has introduced CarbonCure’s reclaimed water carbon mineralization technology. By injecting captured industrial CO2 emissions into reclaimed water systems, the CO2 is converted into stable minerals and permanently sequestered within the concrete. This integrated process reduces product carbon emissions by an additional 10%, transitioning concrete into a "carbon-sequestering material" and accelerating Ya Tung's goal to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 operational emissions across all 21 plants in Taiwan by 2030.
These technological achievements birthed the "LoopCon" brand. Combining "Loop" (representing the circular economy) and "Concrete," the brand embodies circularity and low-carbon innovation. Positioned as YTRM's high-performance low-carbon concrete brand delivering carbon reductions of 30% or more, "LoopCon" offers solutions that balance carbon reduction with structural strength and engineering durability.
Fully Circular and Carbon-Sequestering: Engineering Next-Generation Sustainable Concrete
YTRM's low-carbon concrete products are already being deployed across high-tech manufacturing facilities, public urban renewal projects, commercial office buildings, and public infrastructure works. Looking ahead, President Gin affirmed that YTRM will continue collaborating with supply chain partners, clients, and academic institutions to advance circular economy technologies, developing sustainable concrete solutions characterized by full circularity, carbon mineralization, high impermeability, durability, and seismic resistance.
