Tpark Becomes Asia’s First Smart Park to Achieve Dual Platinum Certification from WiredScore and SmartScore
Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park (Tpark) officially achieved WiredScore Platinum and SmartScore Platinum certifications on December 16, becoming the first smart science park in Asia to receive dual Platinum recognition. This international distinction not only affirms Tpark’s global competitiveness, but also demonstrates that Tpark has established the digital infrastructure, operational resilience, and smart management capabilities required by international enterprises, providing a reliable foundation for long-term operation and growth.

WiredScore and SmartScore are among the most widely recognized global benchmarking systems for smart buildings. WiredScore evaluates digital connectivity quality, network capacity planning, system redundancy, and cybersecurity, ensuring uninterrupted operations even under high-bandwidth and mission-critical business demands. SmartScore, on the other hand, assesses the maturity of smart system integration, user experience, data governance transparency, and sustainable operational performance—key indicators of a property’s ability to operate intelligently and sustainably over the long term.
Globally, projects achieving dual Platinum certification remain extremely rare and are largely concentrated in mature markets such as Europe. Tpark’s attainment of this milestone not only marks the first such achievement in Asia, but also places the park alongside leading international smart campuses, highlighting Taiwan’s growing maturity in smart park development and advanced digital infrastructure.
Yiin Shu-Fen, Senior Vice President of Far Eastern Resource Development Co., Ltd., noted that the true value of WiredScore and SmartScore lies in their ability to translate previously abstract concepts—such as “ICT capability” and “smart operations”—into quantifiable and comparable international standards. This enables enterprises to evaluate potential locations based on globally recognized benchmarks, rather than relying solely on self-described claims, and to clearly determine whether a building is capable of supporting future operations and growth.
From its earliest planning stages, Tpark has placed sustainability and long-term operations at the core of its development strategy, systematically building both ICT and physical infrastructure. The park features multi-path fiber connectivity, high-redundancy designs, and low-latency network architecture capable of supporting high-density, high-stability applications including AI computing, cloud services, semiconductor R&D, and fintech operations. In the international certification assessments, multiple performance indicators has received the highest ratings.
Achieving dual Platinum certification is not only recognition of Tpark’s sustained investment in smart operations and telecommunication resilience, but also confirmation that the park is fully prepared to support long-term enterprise development while meeting the demands of digital transformation and sustainability.
By adopting and implementing international standards, Tpark provides tenants with a stable, secure, forward-looking, and continuously evolving operating environment—where smart solutions and sustainability are embedded into daily operations rather than remaining abstract ideals. Looking ahead, Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park will continue to deepen its smart, digital, and sustainable foundations, combining real-world operational experience with global standards to steadily advance park development and serve as a key smart-park platform connecting industry needs, enterprise growth, and international markets.
