Tpark TPKP Parking Tower Construction Awarded 2022 TCI Excellence Awards in Concrete Construction

The "Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park Parking Tower Construction (TPKP)," built by Far Eastern Resource Development Co., Ltd. (FERD), was awarded the "2022 TCI Excellence Awards in Concrete Construction." The award ceremony took place on December 16th at the Applied Mechanics Building of National Taiwan University.

This award is organized by the Taiwan Concrete Institute (TCI), a foundation aimed at encouraging all sectors to value the quality of concrete engineering and to recognize outstanding concrete engineering technologies that demonstrate innovation and sustainability.

Precast Construction Methods: Reduce Environmental Damage and Enhance Project Quality

The "TPKP Parking Tower Construction" adopts precast construction methods, where major components are precast in factories before being transported to the construction site. This not only reduces construction errors but also significantly decreases on-site pollution such as dust, noise, and waste, thereby minimizing environmental damage and enhancing the quality of the project.

Fostering the Blueprint for Parking in the AI Era

After completion, the parking tower will serve as a regional parking hub, integrating information on regional traffic conditions and nearby events to provide parking guidance and traffic flow alerts. By establishing an open information system, it not only reduces manpower and burden on management but also decreases carbon emissions generated by vehicles continuously searching for parking spaces, thereby achieving energy conservation, carbon reduction, and mitigating traffic impacts. (Photo Credit: FERD)
