TPKC R&D Building Won the Design Platinum Award
The newly constructed R&D building, TPKC (Far EasTone Telecommunication Cloud Computing Center), was completed with technology and modern elements in the first quarter of 2020. Except for the modern aesthetics of the buildings, its commitment to the goal of “getting closer to intelligent life and thinking farther for environmental sustainability” should not be overlooked. TPKC R&D office building is a Diamond-grade Intelligent Building (Candidate Certificate). Also, TPKC won the Design Platinum Award in the “2019 The Third Taiwan Excellent Intelligent Green Architecture and System Products Award" competition. In response to the impact of climate change on business operations, one of our core objectives is to reduce carbon emissions with intelligent methods. On construction design, the building is equipped with transparent glass on the first and second exterior walls; on energy saving, we use LOW-E insulating glass to reduce the burden of air conditioning. To be environmentally friendly, many recycled materials were used for construction.
Moreover, the building, Far EasTone Telecommunication Cloud Computing Center, developed with "intelligent environmental control", "energy conservation and sustainability", "intelligent security", and "WeWork", offers a commercial intelligent architecture management platform combining “5G Big Data + AI + AIoT” techniques:
- “WeWork office”: the design of office space has no barrier between seat and seat.
- AIoT: To achieve the goal of wireless field design, AIoT applications are introduced into the building to make the working environment more flexible.
- IoT: the integration of technological wisdom (automation and interaction) to enrich user experience and to create a visible management environment.

Mr. Peng, the president of TIBA, said that “the TIBA Awards has entered its third year. It is held every two years and the winners will compete with other candidates from other countries in the Asia-Pacific region”. This time, TPKC won the Design Platinum Award and will be evaluated and compared with other buildings, enhancing the competitiveness of the Taiwan intelligent building industry.
Tpark promotes intelligent building and green building
With the problem of the ageing society, low birth rate, climate change, and global warming, Tpark sticks to the principle of Low-Impact Development to reduce the impact on the environment. The buildings in Tpark would uphold the concept of sustainability in construction and building design, hoping to become a model of corporate social responsibility and improve the international visibility of Taiwan’s intelligent green architecture.
