FEDS Group continues to expand

The Far Eastern Department Store Group is looking to expand its outlets further in Taipei and New Taipei.

Reporting at its shareholders meeting today (Photo Credit: Hsu, Mu-Ming of Economic Daily), FEDS chair Douglas Hsu says in addition to the renovation of the Bao-qing Store in Xi-men-ding, a new location will be added at Far Eastern T-PARK in Ban-qiao (板橋). Its Garden City Taipei Dome Store was also partially open late last month.

Hsu says the group's department stores saw a robust growth last year with its revenue reaching a historic high of nearly 50 billion NT, bringing its entire retail group to achieve record hights in consolidated revenue and net profit after tax.

He adds that the other two subsidiaries, A.mart and City’Super supermarkets, also performed well with A.mart strengthening its online shopping, and City’Super, positioned as a high-end brand, continued to see growth in sales.
