Jiahui Power Plant currently has a total installation capacity of 1.21 million kilowatts, and its power generation accounts for about 3.2% of the country's total electricity consumption. It can generate up to 4.8 billion kilowatt-hours per year, which can supply electricity to about 1 million households, this means one in every 13 households in Taiwan uses electricity supplied by Jiahui. Since the end of 2021 coincides with the decommissioning of Unit 1 of the Second Nuclear Plant, the power supply capacity will be reduced by 985,000 kilowatts. The commercialization of the Jiahui Phase II power will also help to fill in some power gaps in a timely manner.

Chiahui Power stated that domestic electricity consumption has often reached a new high. According to Taipower's latest status on power supply and demand, Taiwan's power supply is tight and on yellow alert again this week. Issues such as Taiwan's power shortage crisis and energy policy have once again become the focus of attention from all walks of life. Located in Minxiong, Chiayi, Jiahui Power is a natural gas compound cycle power plant. According to statistics, the power generation in July this year exceeded 185 million kilowatt-hours. Due to the high electricity consumption in Taiwan, Jiahui had more than half a month to coordinate with Taipower's power dispatch. , especially extending the power generation hours.

Chen, Guangtai, the president of Jiahui Power, said that Jiahui Power Plant produces electric energy with low-pollution, high-efficiency, high-quality, and high-safety power generation technology and continues to provide stable power to Taiwan. Internationally, the European Parliament voted to pass the EU proposal early last month, supporting the classification of natural gas as an environmentally sustainable green energy. Jiahui will help Taiwan accelerate the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and achieve the 2050 net-zero carbon emission target by using natural gas with low-carbon characteristics to replace relatively high-carbon coal burning in the short and medium term.
