FENC® Coffee Grounds Fiber Promote Sustainable Development
Far Eastern New Century staple fiber products are primarily used in hygiene materials, automotive materials, home textiles, and other industrial applications. "Low-carbon sustainability" serves as the core knowledge in staple fiber development.
Every day, up to 2 billion people drink coffee in the world, generating as much as 40,000 metric tons of coffee grounds daily! Less than 0.2% of the coffee bean is used in each cup, the rest turns into coffee grounds.
To promote sustainable development, innovative and extraction technologies are used to transform coffee grounds into raw materials for staple fiber production.
The coffee grounds are processed into coffee masterbatches and added into fibers. Since coffee fruits absorb carbon dioxide is about 140% more than typical plants. It provides significant carbon sequestration benefits. The unique structure and faster moisture-wicking properties also help neutralize specific odors.
By converting coffee grounds—originally wasted into valuable resources, not only reduces environmental impact but also enhanced the product functional performance. Sustainable innovation is not merely for corporate profit but also protects the land.
