FENC Champions Sustainable Innovation: TopCool® Petal Selected for 2026 FIFA World Cup Alongside Breakthroughs in T2T and e2cycle Solutions

FENC Champions Sustainable Innovation: TopCool® Petal Selected for 2026 FIFA World Cup Alongside Breakthroughs in T2T and e2cycle Solutions

Far Eastern New Century Corporation (FENC), a global leader in innovative and sustainable materials, unveiled major breakthroughs across its high-performance fiber portfolio and circular economy initiatives. Its next-generation moisture-management fiber, TopCool® Petal, engineered with a proprietary petal-shaped cross-section, has officially been selected by adidas for apparel featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In tandem with this high-performance milestone, FENC is accelerating its closed-loop ambitions through advanced Textile-to-Textile (T2T) recycling systems and a deepened "e2cycle" collaboration with BenQ Materials—transforming electronic waste into high-value functional textiles and redefining sustainable industry standards.

TopCool® Petal: Next-Generation Performance for Sportswear

TopCool® Petal is engineered with a unique petal-shaped fiber cross-section that delivers outstanding moisture management, rapid drying, exceptional softness, and a refined natural luster. The innovative fiber structure also helps reduce fabric transparency caused by perspiration, providing greater comfort and confidence for wearers during physical activity.

Recognized for its superior performance, TopCool® Petal has been selected by adidas for apparel used in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, demonstrating FENC's technological leadership and growing competitiveness in the global market for high-performance functional fibers.

Textile-to-Textile Recycling: Closing the Loop for a Sustainable Future

With decades of experience in recycled polyester made from post-consumer PET bottles, FENC has developed industry-leading recycling technologies that have been widely adopted by leading global brands.

Building on this strong foundation, FENC has expanded its investment in Textile-to-Textile (T2T) recycling technologies and collection systems. By converting discarded textiles into high-quality recycled polyester fibers, the company has established a true closed-loop recycling model that transforms textiles into new textiles.

This innovative solution helps reduce textile waste, conserve valuable resources, and lower carbon emissions while supporting brand partners in achieving their sustainability and circularity goals.

Through continuous innovation in both high-performance materials and circular recycling technologies, Far Eastern New Century remains committed to creating sustainable value for customers and contributing to a greener, more resilient future for the global textile industry.

FENC and BenQ Materials Deepen e2cycle Circular Collaboration Transforming E-Waste into High-Performance Textile Materials

Far Eastern New Century Corporation (FENC) and BenQ Materials continue to deepen their e2cycle collaboration, combining their expertise in recycling technologies and high-performance materials to transform electronic waste into recycled PET (rPET) and further into high-value textile applications.

Since the launch of e2cycle in 2024, recovered electronic materials provided by BenQ Materials have been converted into rPET through FENC’s recycling technologies and subsequently transformed into yarns and fabrics. In 2025, the collaboration advanced into apparel applications, demonstrating the commercial potential of recycled materials derived from electronic waste.

In 2026, FENC and BenQ Materials are further expanding the collaboration by increasing the volume of electronic waste recovered and recycled. The resulting recycled materials are incorporated into Xpore® high-performance textile solutions, combining circular materials with functional properties such as waterproofness, breathability, and durability.

Through e2cycle, FENC and BenQ Materials will continue to explore new opportunities for circular materials in the textile industry, advancing a shared vision of “from e-waste to high-performance textiles” and creating greater value through cross-industry circularity.

From outfitting world-class athletes on the global tournament stage to breaking industrial boundaries with T2T and e2cycle innovations, FENC continues to propel the global textile value chain forward through advanced engineering and tangible decarbonization. Moving forward, the company remains dedicated to collaborating with leading international brands and cross-industry partners—expanding closed-loop applications, elevating recycled waste into high-performance solutions, and delivering lasting, resilient value for a greener future.
