FENC Chairman Douglas Tong Hsu Named Among the 2026 Taiwan Top 100 Best-Performing Business Leaders Driving FENC’s Innovation, Transformation, and Sustainable Growth
Harvard Business Review Taiwan has announced the results of its 2026 Taiwan Top 100 Best-Performing Business Leaders ranking. Douglas Tong Hsu, Chairman of Far Eastern New Century Corporation (FENC), has once again been recognized as one of Taiwan's Top 100 Best-Performing Business Leaders for his outstanding leadership, strategic vision, and long-standing commitment to sustainable growth and value creation.

Under his leadership, the Company has evolved from a polyester and textile manufacturer into a diversified enterprise with businesses spanning Production, Investment, and Property Development. Today, FENC’s operations extend across Taiwan, Mainland China, the United States, Japan, Vietnam, and Malaysia, enabling the Company to capitalize on global industry trends and build enduring competitive advantages for long-term growth.
Amid the global transition toward net-zero emissions and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, Chairman Hsu has proactively shaped FENC's transformation strategy through forward-looking initiatives. The Company has established short-, medium-, and long-term carbon reduction targets and implementation roadmaps. In 2025, FENC's greenhouse gas emissions from its Production Business were reduced by 40% compared with the 2020 base year, surpassing its short-term carbon reduction target ahead of schedule.

The Company has also developed its self-built AI management platform, which has been recognized at the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Best AI Awards for two consecutive years.
