From outpatient care to critical care, from cancer care to chronic disease management, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) achieved outstanding results at the "2025 Quality Certification Award Ceremony", obtaining quality certifications in six major areas: traumatic brain injury, kidney disease, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, diabetes, and stroke. Interdisciplinary integrated holistic care: Six distinctive teams comprehensively safeguard health.

The team has established a complete integrated care system from emergency care and intensive care to rehabilitation. From the moment a patient enters the emergency room, the team monitors their condition throughout, using multidisciplinary neurocritical care monitoring technologies and information systems to track key indicators. Interdisciplinary collaboration and case management are closely integrated, ensuring patient safety and continuity of treatment at every step, from the intensive care unit to rehabilitation therapy, allowing critically ill patients to receive complete and precise care in the shortest possible time. 

Adhering to the concept of "one-stop, all-round", the team integrates outpatient, dialysis and critical care services to create a complete care process. They have introduced smart healthcare technologies, including the AKI kidney injury warning system, automatic uploading of dialysis parameters and cloud-based bed scheduling, to shorten treatment time, accurately grasp each patient's health data, and ensure that kidney disease patients can receive the most comprehensive medical care in a timely and safe manner.

The team focuses on shortening the diagnosis time and initiating early treatment, and develops treatment strategies through interdisciplinary collaboration involving surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Relapsed cases may participate in clinical trials such as photoimmunotherapy, depending on the circumstances. This approach makes treatment more precise while maintaining quality of life. For patients in the later stages of their disease, the team continues to provide palliative care, combining medical expertise with humanistic care to ensure that patients and their families feel stable and supported throughout the treatment process, fulfilling the care philosophy of "not only prolonging life, but also maintaining quality of life." 

The hospital has established an "All-Female Breast Specialty Clinic," creating a dedicated treatment environment for women. It integrates breast surgery, oncology, and radiation oncology departments for comprehensive evaluation in one visit. The team pioneered a special computer-controlled baffle design for the breast cancer spiral knife, effectively reducing the damage to the heart and lungs caused by radiation therapy. Simultaneously, the hospital incorporates smart healthcare and information integration, making treatment faster, more precise, and safer, achieving comprehensive health management and fully protecting women's health. By integrating medical resources across disciplines, the team utilizes LINE APP reminders and data analysis to help patients establish self-management habits for their blood sugar. From glycated hemoglobin to fundus examinations, every indicator is precisely tracked, and many of their achievements have been recognized by the National Health Insurance Administration and the Health Promotion Administration. The team also continues to promote disease prevention and health education, making chronic disease management smarter, simpler, and more effective. 

The intravenous thrombolysis rate has exceeded 20%, with a thrombolysis completion rate of up to 90% within the "golden hour," placing the team among the top medical centers in terms of treatment effectiveness. The team combines smart healthcare with precision medicine to establish a comprehensive post-acute integrated care mechanism and promotes regional joint prevention, improving New Taipei City's stroke care network and becoming a crucial hub for stroke treatment, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible outcome.
