Everest Textile Wins the 2025 iF Design Concept Award – RE:NEO Next-Generation Protective Cape

EVEREST TEXTILE has been honored with the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 for the RE:NEO Next-Generation Protective Cape, showcasing its excellence in sustainable design and high-performance eco-friendly textiles. In response to the escalating challenges of climate change, Everest Textile has successfully developed a "breathable next-generation protective cape" that combines advanced protection with exceptional comfort, opening up new horizons for functional fabric applications.

The award-winning RE:NEO Next-Generation Protective Cape marks another milestone in Everest’s commitment to environmental innovation. Made from 100% recycled PET bottles, the cape integrates advanced breathable membrane technology and high-performance waterproof fabric, ensuring adaptability to extreme weather conditions. Whether worn as a cloak, draped over the body, or used as a cover, it provides a seamless and lightweight wearing experience.

Like a "second skin," RE:NEO is feather-light, yet highly durable, offering exceptional water repellency and wind resistance. It provides all-weather protection, allowing users to navigate unpredictable environments with confidence.

The cape's design features a serene ice-blue fabric, symbolizing stability like water. The wave-inspired print reflects an eco-friendly ethos while conveying a sense of fluidity, freedom, diversity, inclusivity, resilience, and island culture. Its versatile, multi-functional design caters to diverse needs, embodying a spirit of future adaptability and embracing change—empowering wearers to express their individuality while facing global challenges with ease.

Everest Textile collaborated with Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) in an industry-academia partnership to create a globally-oriented design concept for the RE:NEO Next-Generation Protective Cape. The STUST Branding and Package Design Center enhanced the product’s futuristic appeal and eco-conscious messaging through visual design, highlighting Everest Textile’s commitment to both innovation and sustainability.

As a globally recognized symbol of design excellence, the iF DESIGN AWARD attracted over 11,000 entries from 66 countries this year. After two rigorous rounds of judging, Everest Textile distinguished itself as one of Taiwan’s top 3% award-winning companies, solidifying its presence on the world stage and reaffirming its role as a leader in Taiwan’s textile industry innovation.
