On March 9, U-Ming marine transport signed a contract with Sumitomo Marine Co. Ltd. to build 99990 DWT post Panamax bulk carrier "cemtex excellence" at Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Japan. The signing ceremony was held at Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, The "cloud naming" ceremony will be held in Taipei at the same time, so that guests from both places can participate in the grand event.

It is the first 99990 ton post Panamax series bulk carrier newly designed and built by Oshima Shipping Co., Ltd. for U-Ming marine transport. In addition to continuing the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection adhered to by U-Ming marine transport, it also adds intelligent elements, which is conducive to achieving fault early warning, reducing fault rate and improving operation efficiency through ship network management. In addition, due to the large-scale ship, the fuel consumption per unit load and operation cost are relatively reduced, and the characteristics of low-speed navigation adopted by global shipping for energy conservation and emission reduction are integrated into the design. At the same time, the narrow and streamlined bridge design is adopted and the hull line is optimized to reduce wind and water resistance, further reduce fuel consumption and increase competitive advantage. It is expected to be officially delivered for operation on March 14.
