Marking its fifth consecutive year of participation, Far Eastern Group (FEG) is presenting its sustainable milestones at the 5th SDG Asia (Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Expo & Summit), held from August 27 to 29 at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. Centered on the dual themes of "Co-Creating Net-Zero: Moving Forward with FEG" and "Sustainable FEG: Cross-Disciplinary Mutual Benefit," FEG unites eight flagship brands across two major themed exhibition zones to highlight circular, low-carbon innovations spanning everyday essentials.

The "2026 Asia Pacific & Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards" (APSAA/TSAA) ceremony was held concurrently with the expo. Public Building Decarbonization: Highlighting its successful retrofitting of the National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) Gymnasium, which lowered Energy Use Intensity (EUI) by 42%, reduced HVAC power demand by 19%, and achieved Taiwan's Level 1+ Building Energy Efficiency Rating alongside an emergency energy storage microgrid.

Smart Hydrological Monitoring: Integrating radar wave and piezoresistive water level sensors with cellular connectivity to deliver real-time flood monitoring and early warnings for urban resilience.

Asia Cement (ACC), together with subsidiary Ya Tung Ready Mixed Concrete, presents the theme "Green Building Materials, Low-Carbon Sustainability." Promote consumer-side circularity. FEDS features its "Beauty Loop Bar" cosmetic bottle recycling program and tote bags upcycled from the 2026 VOGUE Picnic Day event canvas. YZU and Yuan Ding Received 2 Gold 1 Bronze in TSAA

From rescuing endangered aquatic plants to bringing world culture into rural classrooms, YZU uses its diverse expertise to engage with society and respond to real needs. In the 6th TSAA, YZU won Gold and Bronze awards respectively for "Extinction Rebirth: Species Ark" and "Global Culture Leadership Project." The former focuses on campus ecology, while the latter is rooted in educational inclusion, showcasing the university's diverse approach to transforming classroom learning into social practice. Moving forward, the university will continue to connect faculty expertise, student learning, and local needs, deepening cross-disciplinary collaboration and transforming university knowledge into concrete actions to address societal issues.

Yuan Ding has long been committed to promoting sustainable corporate development. With the Far Eastern Plaza Metro Tower Building centered on a "Planet × People" dual-axis sustainable transformation, the company continuously implements sustainable actions in areas such as energy efficiency, equipment upgrades, smart management, healthy environment, and urban well-being. This year, the "SDG11 – Far Eastern Plaza Dual-Axis Transformation" project won the Gold Award at the 6th TSAA, demonstrating the company's concrete achievements in sustainable management.
