Gaining permission from the Ministry of Finance to begin organizing the Far Eastern International Bank, the Group extends its scope to the financial services industry.

Renamed Oriental Securities Corp., Ltd., the firm received special permission from the government to set up a securities brokerage company.

Responding to the government’s financial industry liberalization policy, Far Eastern Group formed the preparation organization unit for Far Eastern International Bank.
